I will teach you to use my internal emotional compass with its four directional traits and habits describing how we interact and make decisions. Also, I will demonstrate movement assessment techniques to find a clear path to assess how we think and move affects our entire wellbeing. This will give you a road map to follow and can lead to a more centered life with less overuse, wasted energy and discomfort. Communication between a trainer and a client is essential to success in being able to reach the goals in any training setting. Are you hitting the target? REEBOK RNT: THE FIVE POINT MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT SCREEN.

This is the first program developed for personal trainers to assess one's functional movement. The program is comprised of a number of assessments that enable the trainer to identify musculo-skeletal imbalances that are caused by repetitive stress, sports participation, and the rigors of daily life. Once the imbalances are rectified RNT offers moderate and high-level programming based on sports conditioning coupled with motor learning techniques. The Trainer can assess his client and recommend exercises to work on the imbalances found through the screen.

 

ONE TO ONE FLEXIBILITY

Reebok One to One Flexibility training is the latest educational program for Personal Trainers designed by Reebok University.  This workshop teaches trainers how to assess range of motion, mobility and flexibility.  Specific stretching protocols such as active assisted and contract relax are demonstrated and practiced extensively.  Personal trainers will learn how to set up a 30-minute flexibility session.  The Reebok One to One Flexibility Program will enhance the trainer’s expertise and bring value to any health club's personal training program.

 

 

POST- REHABILITATIVE PROGRAMMING OPTIONS

Begin to take yourself to the next level as a personal trainer by learning to be part of the health care continuum. Learn to be able to work with clients needs as they transition back from rehab into a life of fitness and physical well-being. **“REACTION TRAINING” BASED STRENGTH CIRCUITS

Reactive training is a system for conditioning that has grown from the science used in sports rehabilitation and conditioning programs for elite athletes. The goals of a conditioning program are to improve performance and prevent injuries. The single most important factor determining one’s ability to change performance is motor learning. Form follows function, so when motor learning needs have been addressed, the limitations of time, space and equipment will pale in comparison and efficiency will improve. Reactive training increases the quality of movement patterns and therefore decreases the needs for quantity-excessive time, effort and expense. Applications for a personal trainer will include methods for overall conditioning for fitness enthusiasts as well as sports-specific techniques.

STABILITY BALL TRAINING SERIES

Stability Ball training is and intensive, hands-on lecture/workshop consisting of three training components: Ball for body awareness and core activation, strength and power. Participants will be introduced to the physiological, biomechanical, and kinesthetic awareness principles, which form the foundation of stability ball training programs. Integrated with fitness training principles of strength, flexibility and agility, practical application creates programming ideas and exercises for all populations. This training covers proper technique and progression, safety cues, adaptation for specific programs/populations, and incorporation of resistance training tools. REEBOK FLEXIBLE STRENGTH (FITNESS YOGA)

Reebok Flexible Strength is an inclusive training program that blends strength with flexibility, endurance, balance, coordination, and concentration. Its unique East-West synergy yields strong, fluid, movements that require a focus of mind and body that is as challenging as it is invigorating. Reebok Flexible Strength is based on principles of Ashtanga "Power" Yoga, with special emphasis on the quality of movement. (Six hour workshop)

 

INDOOR CYCLE TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND MASTERCLASSES

 

CYCLE REEBOK FOUNDATION TRAINING

The Cycle Reebok foundation training program is designed to teach instructors the education necessary to teach group class formats based on sound biomechanics, exercise physiology and sport psychology. Instructors will learn the four components of training that can be developed in an indoor group setting and taken out on the road.  Whether the participant is looking for overall health related goals, like weight loss, or training at a competitive level, the outcome will be the same; success. Extensive music and motivational techniques will be learned to prevent boredom and burnout. Through scientific rational and interval training techniques, the instructor will build on the foundation of solid principles of conditioning and seek the internal spirit and passion that drives each one of us to reach beyond plateaus and move into a future of enhanced performance. (Six hour lecture/workshop for personal trainers or group cycling instructors)

 

CYCLE REEBOK INTERVAL PROGRAM

Interval Conditioning refers to a form of training that involves cardio-respiratory work efforts that are performed at higher intensities than those achieved during continuous training. Interval conditioning has been used effectively in most sports to enhance the performance of the athlete. The Cycle Reebok Interval Program is designed to provide a variety of skills and techniques for the instructor to incorporate into a Cycle Reebok class.  Each skill will be defined and technique explained.  The instructor must have a sound understanding of the Foundation Program prior to adding interval training into their class.  The terms and definitions utilized in interval conditioning are based on the proficiency of the Foundation Program.

 

**LEARN THE SIX ESSENTIAL HABITS TO TEACHING SUCCESSFUL INDOOR CYCLING.

The six essential habits to teaching successful indoor cycling classes will provide an instructor with the mental and physical lessons needed to reach a consistent, clear and motivational message every class.  Direction and drive are the two attributes that tend to evade instructors over time, resulting in less than inspiring workouts.  The six habits will provide immediate tools to keep the same passion and enthusiasm as was in the first three months of teaching.  Three habits will give internally driven messages and the other three habits define physical externally focused ones.  The combination of the two groups will allow instructors to remain creative, intense, and for the benefit of the clients and club program as a whole, more consistent.

 

**IN-DOOR CYCLING AND THE ART OF ASSESSMENT

Indoor Cycling and The Art of Assessment is a workshop that will teach the instructor how to find the small and large imbalances in their students cycling technique that will begin to unlock their potential for performance. To set your self apart from the rest, an instructor needs to rely on teaching skills that very fe  w have, and to be able to see and correct asymmetries immediately is truly a talent. This workshop will teach these skills and more.

 

CYCLE REEBOK VIRTUAL VIBE AND MOVING MEDITATION: 

Virtual Vibe is a cycle journey that is connected to mood and emotion with the use of teaching methods such as breathing techniques, guided imagery, visualization and music variety. The instructor will learn new ways to motivate and inspire their classes with a ride that will ignite the senses. Learn ways to increase focus and deeper levels of concentration to keep rider’s “dialed in” the entire journey. After this experience, indoor cycling will never be the same.

 

**CYCLE REEBOK INTERACTIVE RIDING TECHNIQUES:

Learn skills and drills to keep your class fresh and get your riders actively involved. Learn new hands-on ideas and materials for instructors to apply to any class. Get 10 techniques that instructors can incorporate into their classes to keep them fun and exciting, as well as motivating. Learn to work with pace lines, multiple teams, explosions, circuit training, play tag, do the wave and ride sets of stadium stairs. 

 

CYCLE REEBOK PRO TRAINING TECHNIQUES:

Learn how optimizing bike fit and pedaling technique affects muscle recruitment. Experience how subtle changes in position and technique can improve your performance. This workshop will provide results of EMG studies and review the latest physiological research. In a sample workout, you’ll discover how to incorporate exciting training methods used by top cyclists to get better results for fitness enthusiasts and serious cyclists in your classes.     

CYCLE REEBOK ENERGY AND EXERTION: R. U. FEELING IT?
Learn easy methods to measure and connect to intensity and energy expenditure.  Experience different ways to cue ratings of perceived exertion and give immediate feedback for clients to understand how “hard” the next effort should be.  Having and using traditional methods for measuring exertion are reviewed to provide a basis for new and creative “real” connections without having to know or be tested for ones VO2 max.  This workshop will give an instructor the confidence and motivational skills to keep participants safe and working towards their personal best through focusing on body awareness and responsiveness.

 

CORE BOARD TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND MASTERCLASSES

 

REEBOK CORE TRAINING: THE CORE BOARD FOUNDATION TRAINING

This class is an introductory workout that will give you fundamental skills and foundations needed to successfully participate in Reebok Core Training. This workout focuses on improving balance while working on the reactive surface of the Reebok Core Board. This is recommended as a pre-requisite for all other Reebok Core Training classes. (Six hour workshop)

 

REEBOK CORE PILATES

This creative new program from Reebok University combines movements from the world of Pilates, Feldenkrais and Gyrotonics with the dynamic, reactive properties of the Reebok Core Board. The focus of this program is on motor learning strategies, body awareness, breath work, balance and functional movement. Reebok Core Pilates is structured in several movement categories with 3 movement variations to include all levels of experience in on sessions

 

REEBOK CORE TRAINING: INTEGRATED MUSCLE TRAINING

This workout focuses on developing functional strength by using a variety of static and dynamic movements on the reactive surface of the Reebok Core Board. The unique property of recoil causes the body / board to act / react which improve strength, balance and agility. This workout combines compound muscle strength training for total body conditioning.

 

REEBOK CORE ZEN/YOGA

This workshop focuses on using reactive training techniques combined with a flow Vinyasa yoga practice. Learn how to create workouts that enhance ones balance, strength and flexibility on and off the Core board. This workshop also teaches training progressions for multilevel participants, relaxation and breathing techniques.

 

REEBOK CORE TRAINING: CIRCUIT TRAINING

This workout can focus on one or more components of fitness. Depending upon the choice of exercises, one may work on strength, balance, mobility and or flexibility and integrate this with cardiovascular training on the floor and the Core board. Learn single station or multiple station class set up option for variety and challenge.

 

REEBOK CORE TRAINING: ATHLETIC TRAINING

This dynamic workout takes movements from the world of sports and athletics. The training enhances training intensity and reaction by placing movements on the reactive surface of the Reebok Core Board. The class not only promotes quality driven movements, but more importantly, ones that give the edge in a three-dimensional, competitive application. Sport performance and specificity are the focus and application of this workshop.

 

ATHLETIC AND PERFORMANCE METHODS PROGRAMMING: (LEVELS I, II, III)

 

THE SOURCE: STABILITY/YOGA - LEVEL I

The Source Stability/Yoga is a program designed to touch the physical possibilities within each of us through core activation, balance and reaction. The instructor will learn how to create programming that will offer the participant a path of stability, balance and integrity within a progressive practice of yoga postures and training techniques.  The practice will teach developing awareness of body, mind and self for the awaking athlete. The benefit is a core of strength and flexibility providing the foundation for all other movement programs.

 

**THE HEAT: STRENGTH AND SPORTS CONDITIONING - LEVEL II

The Heat is a strength and sports conditioning program that is rooted in conditioning and endurance through efficiency.  Efficiency will be developed by teaching movement quality before quantity is addressed.  The participant will learn new performance driven exercises that push the edge needed to create change and success.

 

**THE FORCE: POWER TRAINING FOR PERFORMANCE - LEVEL III

The Force is a program designed to recruit, stimulate, and reactivate muscles for higher levels of performance and fitness.  Through progressive mobility screens, the key to unlocking imbalance is found and specifically addressed with integrated exercises and power based drills.  The instructor will learn all assessment techniques and how to make the connection for performance and power training.
